The master stonemasons who crafted it infused the archway with protective enchantments, believing it would stand as the boundary between the mortal realm and sacred space. When the Great Calamity struck the region 300 years ago, the cathedral itself was destroyed, but the archway—empowered by generations of faithful prayers—remained standing. As nature reclaimed the surrounding lands, something peculiar occurred: the plants growing on the archway began exhibiting unusual properties. Herbs harvested from its walls possessed enhanced healing abilities, while flowers bloomed out of season.
he Verdant Archway is an exquisite stone structure blending Gothic cathedral elements with fantastical design. Standing approximately 20 feet tall, this elaborate gateway features intricate flying buttresses, delicate spires topped with crosses, and ornate rose windows. The once-pristine white stone has weathered to a mottled gray-green patina, providing the perfect foundation for the lush vegetation that has claimed much of the structure. Vines and moss crawl up the sides, small bushes sprout from crevices, and patches of wildflowers add splashes of color against the aged stone.
